DIANNY RANTS: “Mystery Mandate” 5

Dianthus breitbart
Guess what word doesn’t appear in the US Constitution? Not once.

Just guess.

My undergrad alma mater is one of the Christian Schools suing HHS over this Contraceptive Mandate. They, like so many other Christian Organizations and private businesses owned by Christians are taking a stand for their First Amendment Liberty to freely practice their religious beliefs.

Way to go, Geneva College!

Makes a gal proud.

This past week, HHS and the Obama Administration appeared to back-peddle on this mandate.

They didn’t.

Let’s face it. Obama never met a man date, sorry, mandate, he doesn’t like.

But the Obama Administration, as cocky, arrogant and stupid as they are, know full well that they will lose this battle in court. So, they tinker around the edges of this mandate trying to pull yet another fast one and make us all think they aren’t making a full frontal assault on Religious Liberty.

But they are.

There is a reason that the very first right listed in our Bill of Rights has to do with religious liberty. This nation was established by people who were fleeing religious persecution in Europe. Our rights are God given. It isn’t shocking in the least that the very first order of business was to quantify each individual’s right to practice his religious beliefs without interference from Government.

Liberals, when they talk about the First Amendment with regard to religion, always focus on the first phrase, “Congress shall make no law respecting an establishment of religion…” That’s pretty much all Liberals think the First Amendment says about religion. Well, that and their moronic belief that the phrase “separation of Church and State” appears.

But the First Amendment is clear. Congress can make no law prohibiting the free exercise of religion.

And that includes man dates.

Sorry, did again.

MANDATES.

Each individual in this nation is free to practice their religious beliefs without being imposed upon by government edicts from Congress or from the unelected Kathleen Sebelius for that matter.

Notice I said individual.

The Obama Administration wants the American people to buy their argument that religious liberty is limited to within the walls of an established church. You and I, as individuals, apparently do not possess the right to freely practice our religious beliefs at our colleges or our businesses, or in our daily lives. Unless of course, we’re standing in a church when we’re doing it.

I’m with Rush. I believe that the Obama Administration’s multi-pronged attack on our First Amendment is not accidental, but by design. They have succeeded in corrupting the Free Press. They mock their opposition in order to try and silence us. They want to undermine our Freedom of Speech. They ignored the vast majority of Americans who spoke out against Obamacare, thereby showing their indifference to our right to petition our government for a redress of grievances.

And, central to it all, through yet another Mandate, the Obama Administration is trying to make irrelevant each individual’s right to religious liberty.

It is all by design.

Obama, prior to hoodwinking the majority of voters in 2008, stated clearly his intent to “fundamentally transform” this country.

But not through dictates, like a dictator.

No.

Obama is trying to “fundamentally transform” this country through Mandates.

You know. Like a man dater.
