So, yesterday, the White House gave credit to Michelle Obama’s “Let’s Move” initiative – a make the children eat stuff they hate so they aren’t so fat program – with reversing the trend of childhood obesity.
Says the press release from the Office of the First Lady (did you guys know there is an Office of the First Lady? I guess it isn’t surprising. These are the Obamas after all, they brought us the Office of the President-Elect):
”Thanks to these efforts, families now have access to more information to make healthier decisions for their children. Young people now have more opportunities for physical activity in their communities. Food in schools has been dramatically improved. More Americans now have access to healthy, affordable food closer to home. And the national childhood obesity rate has leveled off, and even declined in some cities and states.”
Amazing, isn’t it? Three years of “Let’s Move” and the Obamas are now taking the credit for creating or saving skinny kids all over the fruited plain.
Three years of guilting schools into changing their menus, browbeating restaurants into offering “healthy alternatives,” and PRESTO! Michelle Obama is totally responsible for reversing the trend of childhood obesity.
Barack Obama has been president for four years, spending like a shopaholic in desperate need of retail rehab, and he is still is not responsible the economic disaster going on in this country.
Systemic unemployment.
Over 47 million Americans on Food Stamps.
Over 88 million Americans have dropped out of the labor force since he became President.
Gas prices through the roof.
People losing their insurance.
People who are lucky enough to still have insurance paying more in premiums.
Four years, and still, STILL Obama isn’t responsible.
These people are shameless, aren’t they?
They trip all over themselves to take credit for anything, even if credit is not entirely due, and run screaming away from all the destruction that they themselves have caused, furiously pointing fingers of blame at somebody else.
They’ve created more green jobs with the trashmen hired to carry off the huges bags of uneaten food now thrown in the garbage.
Well, here’s hoping the FLOTUS keeps taking credit for this, because from what I understand, school districts are dropping out of the program faster than you can say PIZZA!!!
